ABOUT ME
I have a lifelong love of classic films; from Hollywood glamour to horror by Hammer. Working in the theatre from a young age, I discovered the creative possibilities of make-up and a real passion for performing arts. In 2004 I trained at Greasepaint in ‘Hair, Make-up & Prosthetics for Film & TV’ and pursued an exciting and varied career; from airbrushing flawless skin for beauty shoots, hand-knotting moustaches for art films to applying prosthetics for war films.
My commitment to background research helps me to realise the vision of the director, whether it be perfect period detail, a new look for cutting edge fashion shoots or finding the most practical way to create a fantastical creature.
I believe the role of the make-up artist is not only to create a look, but also to support the actors to work at their best, easing the crazy process that is making movie magic; even when short on time, money or resources... and always with a smile!
